    'Abendland'' (german: the occident)

is an 8 Track LP based on Field Recordings, Pure Data sound processing, Korg Electribe SX, Roland Gaia, Electric Guitar, Aeol-Zither and more.
From the heart of this album unfolds an auditive meta-narrative that re-enacts the spectral past experience of the Luxembourg steel industry, whose screeching, hoisting and sometimes dull noises orchestrated an atmospheric soundtrack, mingled with the natural noise of neighbouring woods. This discrepant combination of artificial and natural sounds has, to this day, left an memorable impression on the elder, but also younger generations of the countries' marginalised working class. This album is an ode to this nostalgic past and by combining and arranging a collection of various, distinctive sound recordings from both nature and factory sites, this album aims at painting soundscapes that summon pictures of deserted industries and pastoral woodland imagery before the inner eye.
